Job description


LuxCMA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team in Luxembourg. This role is central to our mission of ensuring members are well-informed and prepared for evolving regulatory landscapes. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking and interpreting legislative and regulatory developments at both EU and Luxembourg levels and translating these into actionable insights for our members.

Key responsibilities


  • Monitor and analyse EU and Luxembourg legislative proposals, consultations, and regulatory developments, with a focus on financial services and capital markets.
  • Proactively communicate relevant insights, implications, and strategic recommendations to members through briefings, newsletters, and targeted updates.
  • Report regularly to the Board of the Association, providing updates on member engagement and feedback and other initiatives of the Association and its Working Groups.
  • Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to represent members’ interests and gather intelligence.
  • Support the preparation of position papers, consultation responses, and advocacy materials.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and working groups to ensure alignment and timely dissemination of regulatory updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with members to understand their needs and maximise their engagement with the Association.
  • Contribute to the organisation of events, panels, and workshops that foster dialogue on regulatory topics.

Requirements


  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a role related to capital markets, financial services, or regulatory affairs.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of French and/or German and/or Luxembourgish may be an asset.
  • Ideally, a legal background with familiarity with the EU and Luxembourg legislative processes.
  • Experience in gathering and analysing feedback from diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent the association professionally at events and in meetings.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred qualifications


  • Experience in the capital markets industry or a related field.
  • Understanding of the Luxembourg and international capital markets landscape and its key players.
